Matt is the charities chair and founder of Dorset Search Dogs. His first search dog Charlie posthumously received the PDSA Order of Merit for his service. His second dog Cassie qualified as a level 2 search dog in March 2020 and progressed to level 3 in December 2021. Matt and Cassie have a Twitter page which can be viewed by clicking their profile.

Serena Field is a level 2 search dog handler with her dog Rufus. She joined the team in 2016 and while undertaking dog handler training she attended regular callouts as an operational support or foot searcher. In December 2020 Serena and Rufus passed Lowland Rescue National search dog assessment standards to become an operational search dog team. They progressed to a level 3 area dog team in December 2021.

Andy attends callouts as an Operational support and has started beginners search dog training with his dog Jess. Andy is a founder member of the team and training lead. He is the the teams resident go to guy for everything in relation to water safety, navigation and search techniques.

Nick is an operational team member, he regularly attends callouts supporting our dog handlers or joining the foot search teams. Nick is training his search dog Tyler in the trailing discipline and when qualified will be our first trailing dog an exciting new development for the team. In 2018 Nick was part of a team searching for a elderly man reported missing in Bournemouth. There was concern for the mans health and welfare because he had been missing all day and night was drawing in, Nick was a member of the foot search team who located the man.

Rachel is a founder members and was the teams treasurer for 12 years. She is non-operational but will often be seen assisting with the teams training courses and helping out at events.
