Hampshire Search and Rescue launched a callout to locate a suicidal 25-year-old reported missing in Yately. We are pleased to report that the person was thankfully found safe shortly after the callout was initiated, and team members were subsequently stood down.

Third callout of the day. This evening we were called to assist Dorset Search and Rescue in searching for a missing 21-year-old female. Search dog Team Rufus was diverted from their journey home to attend. Thanks to Hampshire Dogs, who also responded to assist. Search efforts located the missing person in the early hours of the morning.

Due to the high temperatures, our dogs would not conduct  searches until cooler temperatures in the evening. The team was stood down when the person was located safe by the police.

Daytime temperatures were too high for our dogs to work, so the team volunteered for foot searching or assisting water search teams. The team was stood down soon after the callout when the missing person was found by police.

Today’s callout  was a continuation of the search for 95 year old Michael Norman from Corscombe.  Our search dogs  assisted with the search of farmland.  Sadly a body of a man was located in the afternoon that was confirmed to be the missing gentleman.
