Callout to support Dorset Search and Rescue search for a lady reported missing in the Christchurch area. Search dog teams Oscar and Hattie attended and supported with search efforts.  Very sadly the body of the missing lady was found on Christmas Eve, our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Callout to support Dorset Search and Rescue to search for a female reported missing in the Yeovil area the team supported and assissted with the foot search. Sadly the lady was found the following day deceased and our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Callout to support Dorset Search and Rescue to search for a lady reported missing in the West Moor area.  Search dog team Hattie deployed to search woodland and we also recieved support from Hampshire Search dog teams  Oppo and Zak.  The lady was  located safe.

Callout to support Hampshire Search and Rescue search for a missing 78 year old lady near Waterlooville. Search dog team Hattie was ready to travel to Hampshire when a second callout came asking for immediate assistance to search for a missing teenager from Portland. In agreement with Hampshire search dogs, the Dorset team diverted to the  the local search and supported  Dorset Search and Rescue and the teenager was located safe.

Callout to support Dorset Search and Rescue search for a despondent male  reported missing near Weymouth. A stand down message was received soon after when the man was reported to have been found. A further callout was received today to assist Sussex Search and Rescue, no team members were available to attend at this time.

Callout to support Dorset Search and Rescue to look for  a despondent male reported missing near Wool. Search dog Oscar was deployed with handler and support . Other team members joined the foot search teams.

Team standby received to support Dorset Police to search for a missing person in the Crossways area. The team were getting ready to go when a stand down was announced 17 minutes later. Reports were that a stirling police effort had already located the missing person, good news for all. Life as a search dog volunteer is never predictable but  we will be there if required and are proud of the Lowland Rescue strap line “100% Professional, 100% Voluntary”

Callout to support Hampshire Search and Rescue for a missing male despondent. The team were stood down before they left to attend this search when the man was reported to be found.

Callout to support Hampshire Search and Rescue to search for a missing 79 year old man with dementia in the Alton area. Search Dog team Hattie went to assist and on arrival  heard the man had been found. This was another  long night time drive for Handler Wendy and Search Dog  Hattie;  a search dog teams life is never predictable, but they will try and be there if needed and are always pleased when the person is found safe..

Callout to support Dorset Search and Rescue to search for a missing suicidal male in the Verwood  area. Search dog team Oscar attended along with Search dog team Kai from Hampshire the dog teams. the dog teams were  deployed to search densely forested woodland areas. It is estimated that one search dog is the equivalent to 8 foot searchers , with two dogs deployed  our clever canines  were doing the work of 16 people. Other dog team member attended and  volunteered to join the foot search teams. The team stood down at 11:30pm and we were pleased to here that the man was reported to be found safe the following morning.

Callout to assist Dorset Search and Rescue to search for a man thought to be  suicidal reported missing in the Swanage area. Search dogs were not  required on this occasion so  team members volunteered to join the foot search teams.  Following an extensive search along the coastline with Police and volunteer resources the  man was located safe.

Callout to assist Dorset Search and Rescue to search for a missing man in central Bournemouth. Search dog team Zak attended from Hampshire and were deployed to search the golf course. Search dog team Oscar was stood down because the  remaining areas were urban. Search dog team members joined the foot  search team and searched alongside Dorset Police officers into the  night  finally being stood down at 00:30 am. The man was located safe by the Police the following day.

Callout to assist Dorset Search and Rescue to search for a missing suicidal  male in the Canford Cliffs  area. Search Dog team Hattie and Dog Team Oscar attended and were deployed to search Branksome Chine and Alum Chine. The man was later found safe by the police.

Continuation of yesterday’s search for the missing lady from Wareham. Search dog team Oscar attended. The lady was found safe that morning by Dorset Police.

Callout to support Dorset Search and Rescue search for a missing 72 year old despondent female in the Wareham area. Search dog team Oscar attended and searched into the evening clearing an area of wood land. Our team members also supported the foot search teams and put their first responder skills to good use when one of the  search team  sustained a leg injury.

Hampshire search dog teams Zak and Oppo also assisted. A large multi- agency search was managed by Dorset Police and the young man was found safe.

Callout to assist Dorset Search and Rescue to search for a 33 suicidal male reported missing in the  Lulworth Cove area. The handlers of search dog Finley, Hattie and Oscar responded and a dog handler  from Hampshire.  The Search Dog areas were limited at the location due to the proximity to the cliffs so the teams mainly  assisted with road and foot searches.  An extensive multi agency search continued until 0130 am

Call out to assist Dorset Police search for an 86 year old lady reported missing in the Blandford area. On arrival team members including one of our First Responders deployed with  the Dorset Search and Rescue foot search team.  Search dog Oscar and Oppo were on route to attend later. All search teams were  stood down soon after they arrived  when police efforts located the lady safe. Thank you to Hampshire search dog Oppo and handler  for their offer of assistance today.

An early start for our dog handlers with a 03:15 immediate callout to support Dorset Police search for a missing despondent man in the West Moors area.  Dorset search dog Oscar and Hampshire search dog Zak worked through the early hours searching a large area of woodland. The team was stood down when the man was found.
