Callout to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police search for a missing 32 year old despondent male. He was last seen in the HAMWORTHY area of Poole. Attending the incident was Matt, Andy, Jane, Nina, Steve and Laurence with search dogs Charlie, Oscar and Rhea. The team searched several small and relatively easy areas dotted amongst an urban environment. The last of the team eventually stood down at approximately 22:30hrs. The male was located safe and well shortly after this time at a nearby address.

Having been missing for the good part of a day, a female rang the police to inform them that she was lost and cold, somewhere in the CHRISTCHURCH area. Within 20 minutes, with Charlie (with Matt and Andy) and Oscar (with Steve) on route, the team were stood down when she was located safe and well.

The team were called on the previous evening to assist Wilsar search for missing Michal Motala, 31. Steve and Oscar deployed first thing with Matt and Charlie arriving just after midday. At approximately 12:20 hours, after a long search of the canal tow paths and surrounding woodland, Search dog Oscar ran into some deep undergrowth and returned to Steve indicating he had found something. Following up on the indication, Steve (and a supporting team member from Wilsar) confirmed the find of the missing gentleman. Our thoughts are with his family. Click for report from Wiltshire Times

Standby to assist search the Blandford area for a possible male despondent. Nina, Jane, Steve and Laurence were all available to assist but by 18:06 hours that same day there was still insufficient information to start searching areas. By 19:14 hours, the missing person returned home safe and well.

This has to be one of our quickest callout/stand downs but we were very pleased to get the call and assist as a rapid response. The team were called out at 15:59 hours for a missing 3 year old girl in the LYNDHURST area. By the time the callout texts were sent out and the team were grabbing kit or leaving work the team were stood down at 16:02 hours. The little girl was located safe and well.

Day Two of the search for missing 27 year old despondent male. On this occasion Steve and the newly qualified search dog Oscar were on route and eager to assist. They were part of a large search effort and conducted several small searches throughout the day. They were supported by Nina. Following a full days searching they were stood down.

The team were called out to assist WiltSAR search for a missing Diane Markin, 68. She was last seen at her home on the Tuesday lunchtime and did not attend an arranged appointment on the Wednesday. She was considered vulnerable and in need of medication which she did not have with her. Matt intially responded with search dog Charlie. Unfortunately, despite making it to SALISBURY and close to the RV, vehicle and phone issues prevented them from being able to assist. Later, Caroline, Jane and Andy all attended and assisted foot based search teams. Andy assisted with the specialised role of searching near water. The lady remains missing. The team were initially put on standby then called out to assist with the search for a missing despondent person near HOLBURY, HANTS. Jane, Laurence, Caroline and Matt (with search dog Charlie) were all preparing to leave when, moments later, the team were stood down. The male was located by police officers.

Callout to BISHOPS WALTHAM to assist HantSAR & Hampshire Police search for a missing male, 56. It took some effort for Matt to coordinate the team, attempting to wake them up but, when he did so, Matt responded with Laurence, Jane and Steve. Jane deployed with Daz from Hampshire Search Dogs, completing a hasty route. Unfortunately, search dog Charlie suffered with sickness and diarrhea just before deployment so could not go operational. Fortunately, the whole team were stood down moments later when the male was found safe and well.

Day 3 of the search for missing Sara Taylor. On this day, Erica was able to be released from her work commitments so attended with search dog Freya. They searched routes and paths for some considerable distance. The team were stood down following reports of a body found by a member of the public. Click here for report in Dorset Echo.

Day 2 of the search for missing Sara Taylor. Unfortunately, no dogs were available but this time Caroline attended to assist with the search efforts. Following various press releases, she was standing by to react to reports of any sightings or other leads. Despite huge efforts by DorSAR and Dorset Police the missing pensioner remained missing.

Callout to Beaminster to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police search for missing Sara Taylor, 76. Sara had gone for a walk but never returned home. Although no dogs were available to assist that evening, Steve attended to search on foot with members from DorSAR. They searched into the night but with no luck.

Day 3 of the search for missing Ross Haughey. Jane attended at the first opportunity and was later assisted by Nina. With no dogs available today, both team members joined various foot teams comprising of members from HantSAR, DorSAR and WiltSAR. Both searched large areas for many hours. They were stood down as news of the discovery of a body came through. Our thoughts are with Ross’ s family and friends.

Day 2 of the search for missing Ross Haughey. Jane attended first thing and assisted Joe search with Search Dog Milo from Hampshire Search Dogs. Matt attended a little later on in the day with Search Dog Charlie. They searched a large remote wood, assisted by James from WiltSAR. The teams were stood down for the night later that evening

Callout to assist WilSAR search for a missing despondent male in the SALISBURY area. Matt and Nina responded immediately with Search Dog Charlie. The team were stood down 6 minutes from the RV when the male returned home safe and well. With a wide awake dog expecting a search, in the back of the car, the team continued to the RV where they met with search colleagues and let Charlie have a play with his search toy!

Day 1 of the search for missing Ross Haughey. Matt, Jane and Andy searched a large area of heathland with Search Dog Charlie, whilst Erica and Steve (with Search Dog Freya) completed a lengthy route and path search of the Forestry Commission site. Callout to assist Dorset Police and DorSAR search for a missing patient from St Annes Hospital. She was considered a high risk despondent. Erica with search dog Freya deployed with Nina, searching gardens and cliff tops. Steve was at the RV ready to assist our colleagues from Hampshire Search Dogs but never had a chance to deploy. Matt (with Charlie) and Andy were on route when the female returned safe and well.

Callout to help HantSAR and Hampshire Search Dogs search for missing Kathleen Rogers, 49. She was last seen in Canal Lane, North WARNBOROUGH at 11am on Wednesday. Matt deployed with search dog Charlie, with Jane supporting. Nina was some 40 minutes behind. They searched snow covered fields and paddocks before being stood down when the body of Kathleen was found by a HantSAR team member in a different search area. Callout to search for missing Simon Douthwaite, 41, in the Lyme Regis area. Coordinated by DorSAR, Erica (with search dog Freya) and Jane deployed immediately and commenced a search of a large circular pathway in the area. Matt and Andy (with search dog Charlie) were then able to attend and completed searches of the coastline and then local beauty spots. Matt and Andy then joined a DorSAR foot team to assist searching back gardens. It is understood that Mr Douthwaite entered the water from the Cobb at Lyme Regis. His body was discovered the next morning, washed ashore. Our thoughts are with his friends and family. Click here for the report in the Dorset Echo

Callout to assist DorSAR and Dorset Police search for a missing 65 year old male in the Swanage area. The night was cold and threatening to snow! The gentleman, suffering from a form of dementia, left his care home without a coat. Caroline, Nina and Erica (with search dog Freya) immediately deployed, with Andy and Matt (with search dog Charlie) deploying slightly later. Fortunately, just as the first teams were receiving their briefings, the male was found safe and well by police.
